Intensifier screen is an important part of your X-ray machine. Mainly used for perspective. Image intensifiers are devices that enhance low-light images to a level that can be seen by the human eye or detected by a camera.
Intensifier screen consists of a vacuum tube with multiple conversion and multiplication screens. The incident photon will hit the photosensitive photocathode screen. Photons are absorbed in the photocathode and cause electrons to be emitted into a vacuum. These electrons are accelerated by an electric field to increase their energy and focus them on a multichannel plate.
