The C arm is an X-ray imaging equipment used in interventional radiology and orthopaedic surgery. It is generally composed of a high-voltage generator, X-ray tube, operation control system and display.

The X-ray image of the inspected part is displayed directly on the display screen by the X-ray image intensifier. The application scope is mainly applicable to surgical localization, and can also be used to locate metal foreign bodies in the body or foreign body remnants such as instrument dressings.
