Imaging principle of image intensifier

The image intensifier mainly consists of an input screen, a photocathode assembly, an electronic optical focusing system and an output screen.

The X-ray image is transformed into visible image through the input screen, then into electronic image through the photocathode, and then into the output screen coated with zinc and cadmium sulfide phosphor through the electronic optical system. Finally, the X-ray image is transformed into visible image, which is displayed on the monitor after the loss of the CCD camera.

Image intensifier is the most critical device in X-ray television system. Its technical performance has a great impact on the work and image quality of the whole machine.
