What is the function of the image intensifier output screen?

The image intensifier consists of a casing, an intensifier vacuum tube (including an intensifier input screen and an intensifier output screen), a high-voltage power supply module and a high-voltage cable. It is used in conjunction with X-ray diagnostic equipment for X-ray imaging.
Among them, the output screen is used to convert the enhanced electronic image into a visible light image. Its main structure is the output photoelectric layer and the glass layer. The glass layer is part of the reinforced tube shell and is the support for the output screen. The inner surface of the phosphor layer is coated with a layer of aluminum foil to form an output photoelectric surface.
The output screen is flat, and the edge portion is not as sharp as the center portion due to the different path lengths of the photons. The output screen of the latest enhancement tube is also spherical, and the spherical surface is pulled into a flat surface by optical fiber, so that the edge and center part have the same definition.
