About the difference in size of image intensifier
The input screen diameter of the image intensifier ranges from 4 inches to 16 inches. The image intensifier with a small input screen is more flexible and cheaper to operate. Small image intensifiers can slightly improve the resolution because the electrons from the photocathode hit the output screen with higher accuracy. However, the range of the patient’s body that the image intensifier input screen can enclose is limited. Larger image intensifiers are more expensive and inflexible to operate, but they can provide a larger field of view and image magnification opportunities. Image intensifiers are divided into 6-inch image intensifiers, 9-inch image intensifiers and 12-inch image intensifiers. Our company mainly sells 9-inch image intensifiers, which are also the most used image intensifiers at this stage.
