Image intensifier is the main component of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) technology and common X-ray fluoroscopy machine, which affects DSA imaging, X-ray fluoroscopy and image quality. In order to obtain satisfactory DSA image and X-ray fluoroscopy results, besides strengthening the management of other parts of the imaging system, we should also test various parameters of the image intensifier of the imaging system.

The image intensifier consists of an input surface, a photocathode, a cluster electrode, an anode and an output surface in a vacuum state.

After X-ray conversion, the photoelectrons are accelerated by high voltage, and image on the output plane through an electron lens cluster composed of cluster electrodes and anodes.
