What is the working principle of the image intensifier? The photoelectrons focus, accelerate, and impact under the action of the electron lens formed by the cathode potential, the focusing electrode potential and the anode potential, forming a reduced, inverted and enhanced (increased electron density) electronic image on the output screen. The electronic image is then converted into a visible light image by the output screen. The higher the anode potential, the faster the movement speed of photoelectrons, the greater the kinetic energy when hitting the output screen, the more electrons excited, and the higher the brightness of the output screen. Brightness gain: The main purpose of the image intensifier tube is to increase the brightness of the image, which is convenient for the camera to take pictures. The ratio of the output screen image brightness to the input screen image brightness is defined as the brightness gain of the image intensifier tube.
