Image intensifier is used to improve the brightness of the image, because the brightness on the X-ray fluorescent screen is very weak, it is not suitable to use the television camera to take the image directly. Therefore, X-ray effects can be converted into visible light images through image intensifiers, and the brightness of the images can be increased before taking photographs.

The image intensifier can transform the X-ray through the human body into a photonic image. Then an electronic image is formed by the action of the focusing electrode, and a reduced electronic image (reflection) is formed in front of the output screen. Its electron beam is irradiated on the output screen. Under the action of electroluminescence, a fluorescent image is formed.
