The input screen of medical image intensifier is mainly composed of aluminium substrate layer, fluorescent body layer, isolation layer and photoelectric surface layer.
Aluminum Substrate Layer: Used to support the input screen, consists of very thin aluminum plate.
Fluorescein layer: It is used to convert X-ray image into visible image. The requirements are as follows: (1) high absorption rate of X-ray to obtain higher conversion efficiency; (2) high fluorescence efficiency, absorption of the same X-ray quantity, conversion to more visible light; (3) matching the spectrum response characteristics of photoelectric cathode; (4) less lateral scattering of columnar crystals, which can improve the output image resolution.
